Commercial Drive Attractions

If you are looking for a relaxed, fun atmosphere, close to the action yet far enough away to rest and restore your energy for exploring, this is the place for you. The guest house is only 1 ½ blocks east of the very popular Commercial Drive (“the Drive” to locals), which teems with people enjoying the sidewalk cafes, Italian coffee and gelato shops, numerous restaurants specializing in international or local foods, and many colourful shops. We are also only 1 block from the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, the Wise Club & Hall (convenient home of the Vancouver Farmer’s Market in winter months), and at the heart of the Eastside Culture Crawl Arts Festival in the Fall. Victoria

As you leave Vancouver for Victoria, sailing through some of the most spectacular islands in the world, the scenery will take your breath away. For those with time on their hands, a stop on Salt Spring Island, Pender Island or at any of the other numerous little island communities should definitely be on the itinerary. Upon arrival in Victoria, visitors fall in love with the city from the first moment they set foot in it. The quaint little shops, sparkling beauty of the inner harbour, masses of flowers from early Spring until late Fall, tea at the Empress Hotel and impressive parliament buildings are a travellers’ delight. There truly is something for everyone in Victoria. Make sure you take time to visit Butchart Gardens, a gardeners’ paradise!
